Wanted: Foster Family for Marron!
Marron, a 10-year-old Labrador Retriever, came to ARK in June, 2010 after her owner was hospitalized.
Marron’s profile: http://arkbark.net/?q=en/node/2227
This is Marron when she arrived at ARK. She was so excited to be going out!
Marron is very affectionate and loves to play. She has the personality of a typical Labrador Retriever, however, since coming to ARK, she has become so stressed in her new environment and has not adjusted. The stress is starting to take its toll on her health. She has developed struvite crystals in her urine and her liver function is declining. We are sure that both of these are due to stress.
She usually has such a healthy appetite but now she often does not eat all of her food. She was living nicely with a Maltese but now everyday when other dogs pass by her enclosure she barks.
It is common for dogs of her age to have their health decline when they can’t adjust to shelter life.
Considering her age and current health condition, it will be difficult to find sweet Marron a new home. But if she were able to return once again to a happy home life, we are sure her health problems would go away.
Is there anybody out there willing to foster Marron? ARK will cover the costs of her medical treatment and food.
Conditions for fostering
★Must keep Marron as an indoor dog.
Marron has always been an indoor dog so it is very difficult for her to be kept outside.
