Animal Refuge Kansai (ARK) acts as a safety net for homeless, abandoned animals or those otherwise in need of help. ARK actively rescues animals, provides them with the care needed and search for a new family to give them a second chance at happiness. However, it is not just rescue work that ARK does. ARK aims to educate and spread awareness about animal welfare, the importance of spaying and neutering animals, and the need to revise current animal welfare laws.

Tax deductible donations

ARK was awarded and certified as a “Nintei NPO”, by Osaka Prefecture on May 2nd, 2016. As of this date, donations exceeding 2,000 yen a year are eligible for tax deduction. For more information, please view the “NINTEI HOUJIN NPO” link.

How are monetary donations spent

Monetary donations are spent on various aspects of the organization. Donations can be used towards vaccinating our animals against harmful diseases, spay and neuter surgeries, veterinary check-ups, and the day-to-day running of our organization.

1,000 yen: The cost of vaccinating one of our dogs or cats.

5,000 yen: The cost of a health check/blood work for one dog or cat.

10,000 yen: The cost of spaying or neutering one dog or cat.
