Bears sighted near Nose facility

There have been sightings of bears near our Nose facility.

We would like everyone visiting our facility to take care and would like to share some information and guidelines:

As of June 20,

・At around 6:45 am on Thursday, June 11, a black bear was sighted Near Yoshino, Nose (close to National Road 477).

・At around 5:10 pm on Saturday, June 13, a bear (or another animal resembling one) was sighted near Tenno, Nose (close to National Road 173).

Please read the information provided by Osaka Prefecture and maintain caution.

Bear Sightings

The poster below advises:

Stay away from bears by carrying bells or a radio. The noise should keep bears away.
Be careful to make more noise near rivers or on rainy days.

Bears come out from evening to early morning so be particularly careful near mountains at these times.

Don’t carry foods bears like (persimmons, chestnuts) or leave these foods behind.

If you meet a bear, don’t turn your back on it and leave slowly.

Don’t go near baby bears!
