【Dec. 7】American School in Japan & Tokyo ARK Adoption Fair

ASIJ’s junior high students have taken the lead in planning the school’s first ever adoption fair with Tokyo ARK at one of the biggest events on the school calendar, Winterfest.
Winterfest itself is a major attraction for those from the school and its surrounding areas. This year, it will include a Tokyo ARK adoption fair. We’re hoping to see students, parents and many other guests, so the ˝GIN team has worked hard to make sure all could enjoy the event by focussing on minimising risks, maintaining comfort for the animals and keeping everyone informed. Tokyo ARK visited the school, but the students also made the effort to visit adoption fairs and promotional events.
We are delighted to see young people taking a genuine interest in animal welfare and taking positive action. We are pround to be a part of the project.

【If one of our animals interests you】
Please come along and meet any of our animals that interest you. Sometimes we need to make changes to the lineup, so please don’t hesitate to ask in advance.

【If you are interested in adopting】
Please apply by FAX, email, or by completing  our online questionnaire . We also ask that you email us or bring photos of the living areas of your home and garden (if applicable). If your residence is a rental property or condo, please also provide a copy of the section of your housing agreement that says you can have animals on the property, including any restrictions on size and number of pets. If you already have a dog or dogs, we encourage you to bring them to the fair to meet potential new family members. 

【If you cannot adopt】
We will have original ARK T-shirts, books and other goods available for purchase. Each purchase goes to help our animals! Please come along!
