Sakuramochi is a shy but incredibly sweet girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe place. When she first arrived at ARK, she spent most of her time tucked away in the back of the kotatsu and was rarely seen. Although she still prefers the comfort of her hiding spots, she has gradually started to relax and can now often be found resting peacefully with her friends Kusamochi and Kashiwamochi. The mochi kitties! One thing Sakuramochi definitely enjoys is food! Even when she is hiding, she usually eats quite well. If a Churu is involved, however, any caution she has goes out the window as she simply can’t resist coming out for her favorite treat! Another positive point is Sakuramochi gets along wonderfully with her feline roommates, so we believe she could potentially live happily with other cats (depending on personalities match). This easy going girl is still taking small steps toward becoming comfortable with people, and we’re hoping to find a patient, understanding family who will let her build trust at her own pace. With time, kindness, and a quiet home filled with love, we believe Sakuramochi will continue to blossom and build confidence.
