Dogs Trust CEO passes away
ARK is very saddened to learn that Dogs Trust CEO, Adrian Burder, passed away on November 1st 2018 after a short illness, he was 53.
Adrian worked at Dogs Trust for 24 years in which time his passion saved the lives of millions of dogs. As a hugely successful fund-raiser Dogs Trust became a 100 million pound charity under his leadership. He succeeded Clarissa Baldwin as CEO in 2014.
ARK has regularly attended ICAWC, the International Companion Animal Welfare conference sponsored annually by Dogs Trust and we met Adrian once again at the recent Krakow conference.
Dogs Trust Worldwide has generously supported ARK by funding our new kennels in Sasayama. Last year in May 2017, Adrian, Clarissa and Philip Daubeny were able to come to Japan and join the opening party in Sasayama.
Adrian’s passing is not only a great loss for Dogs Trust, but also for so many smaller organizations around the world who owe so much to him and to Dogs Trust.
