If it’s the first time you’ve heard about a Hokkaido Inu, then you’ll just have to meet me! We are a rather old breed and one of the less well-known Japanese dogs, but we certainly are special. We are extremely loyal and devoted to our owners. Unfortunately, I wasn’t really cared for or handled much so I rather nervous of people in the beginning. I never attack but I am just unsure of what to expect. It might take time for me to get used to you, but with the right people to encourage me, I will blossom! I like to go for walks and I like to eat. That’s an easy way to try and reach out to me. I hope you will consider a sweet dog like me. We all need loving homes, even the shy ones!
