Saffron is a handsome Tabby who has made tremendous progress since arriving at ARK! When he first arrived, he would hiss at visitors, hide and generally make it known he felt very uncomfortable and anxious in his new surroundings. It took a lot of time, but with patience and compassion, we were able to help Saffy feel a little safer and he slowly began to trust us. Now, although he is still a little nervous, he is happy to have visitors (especially if treats are involved) and will even play with cat toys and show us his belly! We are so proud of his progress, and we now think he is ready to find his very own forever-family (however, he will need to be the only feline in the family). We expect Saffy to need some extra time to settle in and warm up to you, but we’ve seen him gradually come out of his shell, so we are confident he will do the same in a loving home.
