Background Oji’s owner was suffering from dementia and was unable to care for him.

With a name like Oji (which means prince in Japanese), you know this boy will steal your heart! Sure enough, he has stolen all of ours! Our initial impression of him was a shy boy, who seemed a little disinterested in people and so we kept a little distance. However, we were all proven wrong when Oji would go from zero to 100 in a matter of minutes. Before we knew it, he would hover for attention and ask for cuddles. His cute but awkward approach to affection makes us all smile. In true Kishu Inu form, Oji is loyal, devoted and intelligent, but he is equally a love bug who just wants his cuddles. We hope you’ll come visit him soon.
