With his stunning wolf-like features, deep amber eyes and intense gaze, it’s no wonder Barbaro stands out. He is certainly a gorgeous dog, and he is also very smart. Due to a lack of socialization with people, (we rescued him from a breeding facility), Barbaro is rather shy towards people and remains a bit fearful. However, he has certainly begun to trust us more and more. His favorite part of the day is when it’s walking time! He somehow seems to know when its time, as he will be on “standby” mode and wait patiently for us to prepare him. He does the same when it’s time to eat! Staff have been using walks as the perfect time to help Barbaro explore and discover but also as a bonding experience to build trust. Barbaro is very fond and friendly towards other dogs, so although he can be adopted on his own, we would love for him to be adopted out to a family with a kind and patient dog to welcome him! We think having another dog would help bring this sweet boy out of his shell even further and help him feel at ease. Please come visit him soon!
