アフィフ ハナ （能勢事務所）
私は動物に囲まれて育ちました。特に猫が多く、私の国には野良猫がたくさんいます。そのような環境で育ったことで、自分がどれほど動物が好きなのかに気づきました。そして、いつか動物に囲まれた場所で働き、動物たちの福祉を支える仕事ができたらいいなとよく思っていました。
そんな中、偶然アークの求人を見つけ、このような機会をいただき、今アークで働くことができてとても嬉しく思っています。そして、ここにいる動物たちの生活が少しでも良くなるよう、お手伝いできればと思っています。
まだ働き始めたばかりで経験も十分ではありませんが、できるだけ早く仕事に慣れ、チームや動物たちのために精一杯頑張りたいと思っています。どうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

下條 洋平 （メンテナンス & ロジスティック リーダー）
昨年12月21日より正式にスタッフになりました、下條洋平です。約10年前に犬猫の殺処分の現状を知り何か力になりたいといくつか保護団体を訪れ学んだところ、最も動物への姿勢や理念に感銘を受けたアークを訪れ一匹の犬を譲り受けました。
全員助けたい気持ちでしたが現実はそうはいかず、寄付やボランティアで貢献しようと考え励んでいました。そんな日々を過ごしている中、アークから譲り受けた愛犬が亡くなり、より一層この業界で力を発揮したいと考え転職を決意しました。動物と直接関わらないメンテナンスがメインですが、スタッフが作業しやすい環境作りを行うことで動物の環境が良くなると考えています。またスタッフの労務管理やロジスティクス等多岐に渡る業務を任せられており、やりがいを感じています。人生を掛けてオリバーさんの意志を引き継ぎたいと思います。

小林 彰 （能勢事務所）
2018年からアークで働き始め、約2年ほどを能勢で、その後約6年ほどは篠山に勤め、8年近く犬猫兎たちのお世話に従事してまいりました。アークに来る前には、ペットを取り巻く業界の見識を広める意味もあって、ペットショップやブリーダーの下で働いた事もありました。そこには動物を愛する人たちが多く働いているにも関わらず、ビジネスとして命と向き合わなければならない残酷な矛盾の中にある事も痛感しました。
幼い頃から動物を飼育しては来ましたが、動物のお仕事を目指していた訳ではありませんでした。そんな中ペット業界への関心から、動物たちのために自分には何ができるかを考えるようになり、トリマーの資格を取ったり、アークに入ってからは動物看護師の資格も取得いたしました。

昨年末からは、能勢の事務局へと配属になり、オフィス業務に従事する事になりましたが、今まで培ってきた知識や、アークで動物たちのお世話を通じて学んだ多くの事を、これからはアークの窓口として活かせられるように取り組んでまいりたいと思います。今は直接的に動物たちと関わる事があまりなくなり、寂しく思う事もありますが、動物たちに囲まれたアークの環境で、動物たちのために働ける事には変わらずやりがいを感じております。着任したばかりで、まだまだ未熟ではございますが、皆様に安心してご支援していただけますように、真摯に取り組んでまいりたいと思います。

Hana Afiff (Nose Office)
I grew up surrounded by animals, mostly cats because there are many stray cats in my country. Thanks to that, I realized how much I love animals and I often thought that if possible, I would like to work in a place where I am surrounded by animals and help support their welfare.Since then, I have always dreamed that if I had the chance to work in a place where I could support animals, I would love to give it a try. By chance, I came across a job advertisement for ARK, and thanks to that opportunity I can now work at ARK and hopefully help improve the lives of the animals here.
I only started working here recently, so I still lack experience. However, I hope to get used to the job quickly and do my best to support the team and the animals.

Yohei Shimojo (Maintenance and Logistics Leader)
My name is Yohei Shimojo. I officially started working for ARK in December 2025.
About 10 years ago, I learned the plight of animals that lose their lives in public pounds and decided to try to make a difference. I looked at a number of animal welfare organizations and was deeply moved by ARK’s philosophy and stance on the care of its animals. This led me to adopt a dog from them. While I wished I could save every one of them, I recognized the reality of the situation and decided to contribute to it through donations and working as a volunteer.
About 10 years ago, I learned the plight of animals that lose their lives in public pounds and decided to try to make a difference. I looked at a number of animal welfare organizations and was deeply moved by ARK’s philosophy and stance on the care of its animals. This led me to adopt a dog from them. While I wished I could save every one of them, I recognized the reality of the situation and decided to contribute to it through donations and working as a volunteer.
When my beloved dog passed, my desire to make a difference in this field intensified, in turn leading me to a career change. I believe that by Following the passing of my beloved dog from ARK, my desire to make a greater impact in this field intensified, leading me to pursue a career change. Although my primary role in maintenance doesn’t involve direct animal care, I believe that by creating an efficient environment for our staff, I am ultimately improving the quality of life for the animals. Being entrusted with a wide range of responsibilities – including labor management and logistics – is incredibly rewarding.

Akira Kobayashi (Nose office staff)
I started working for ARK in 2018 and have dedicated nearly eight years to caring for our dogs, cats, and rabbits – spending about two years at the Nose facility followed by six years at Sasayama. Before joining ARK, I worked at pet shops and for breeders to broaden my perspective on the pet industry. While I met many people there who truly loved animals, I also experienced the cruel contradiction of treating living beings as a business.
Although I have lived with animals since childhood, I didn’t originally set out to pursue a career in this field. However, my growing concern for animal welfare led me to consider what I could do for them. This inspired me to become a certified groomer and, after joining ARK, to earn my qualification as a veterinary nurse.
At the end of last year, I was reassigned to the Nose headquarters to take on administrative duties. While I sometimes miss the daily direct interaction with the animals, I am eager to apply the knowledge and experience I’ve gained on the front lines to my new role as a point of contact for ARK. Working for the animals in an environment surrounded by them remains deeply rewarding.
As I am still new to this position, I am committed to working with sincerity to ensure our supporters feel confident in their continued patronage.
