Since June of 2007 an ARK animal looking for a new home has featured on the community page of The Japan Times every Saturday (Sunday in some areas.)
The animals featured are chosen by ARK staff and the photo box helps us put a spotlight on special animals. This week is Ko-chan and Mi-chan!

LOOK IN YOUR HEART

Ko-chan (left) and Mi-chan (right) spent many years tied up at opposite ends of a porch. Since the two corgis, now about 8 years old and 20 kg each, were not neutered, this was the owners' sad idea of birth control. Their lonely days became lonelier when one owner died and the dogs were neglected even more. Now, at ARK, they have started to come to life. Ko-chan is a very social fellow, a sweetheart who wants attention, while Mi-chan is a quiet girl who will look at you with her beautiful, expressive eyes and just melt your heart. These two have spent so much time in sight of each other, yet so far apart. Let's hope that love can keep them together.
